A Fun Winter Festival
Now spanning the last two weeks in February, the charming town of Lititz, Pennsylvania hosts it’s annual Fire and Ice Festival. The festival started in 2005 and has grown to the amazing event that it is now.
One Part Ice
The Festival starts on Friday afternoon when you can watch the ice being carved as you wander down main street. You’ll want to get to Lititz early so you can find parking. But then, you’ll just wander around town. Many of the shops are open late for the opening weekend at Lititz Fire & Ice.
Once you’ve had your fill of watching the ice being carved. You’ll have options for dinner. One of our favorites is Appalachian Brewing Company (although they don’t have a great gluten free menu). The service is always excellent. They have a good appetizer menu and we enjoy the beer.
For the last several years, we eaten from the food trucks as there’s always something for everyone from pizza and burgers for the grands, amazing gyro fries for the gluten free in the group, bacon on a stick and just about anything you could want. Scroll down for the food truck schedule to be updated soon.
After dinner, take the scenic drive back to Carriage Corner where you can enjoy fresh homemade cookies which are back in 2024!
Two Parts Fire
One February 17, 2024 between 11a – 2p, you can purchase tickets to attend the Chili Cook Off. Tickets are limited and must be purchased in advance.
Also, new since 2020 is the Fire Shows. Fire Shows take place the second weekend of the Lititz Fire & Ice Festival. Head over to the stage early for the best visibility.
“The heat is ON! This year’s fire show combines the thrill of fire with awe-inspiring acrobatics thanks to Miss Molly Dazzle. She’ll be on the Stray Production Services stage in Lititz Springs Park at 6pm and 8pm on Friday and 6pm, 7pm, and 8pm Saturday. Molly’s shows will run about 20 minutes each. On Friday, we’re adding music to the mix. In between Molly’s 6pm and 8pm shows, we’ll have a live band onstage! Arrive at 7pm to join us for a winter concert that’s totally dance-worthy!” Photo and description from Lititz, PA Fire & Ice Festival website.
Favorite Room
While each of our rooms is similar, they are also different. So take a look at them all and pick one to try first. With only 5 guest rooms in the entire bed and breakfast, it won’t take you long to find your favorite.
The rooms are all similar in that they all have incredibly comfortable queen beds and are made up with luxurious linens and cozy quilts.
There are plush robes in every room. As well as, amazing amenities including BeeKind Body Wash, Shampoo, Conditioner, Lotion and puffs – so you don’t need to pack any of that! We also have hair dryers in all of our rooms.
As always make yourself comfortable in the common area and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and we’re bringing freshly baked treats back in 2024. They’ve been gone long enough 😉
