Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 6 Cups Oatmeal
  • ½ Cup Brown Sugar
  • ¾ Cup Wheat Germ
  • ½ Cup Unsweetened Coconut
  • 1 Cup Chopped Unsalted Mixed Nuts
  • 1 Tbsp Cinnamon I don't measure
  • ½ tsp Nutmeg I don't measure

Wet Ingredients

  • Cup Honey
  • ½ Cup Vegetable Oil Olive Oil and coconut oil will both work, but your granola won't keep as long
  • 2 Tbsp Water
  • 2 tsp Vanilla

Customization #1 - Blueberry Almond Granola

  • 1 Cup Chopped Almonds
  • Cup Maple Syrup instead of Honey
  • 1 Cup Dried Blueberries

Customization #2 - Cashew Raisin Granola

  • 1 Cup Chopped Cashews
  • 1 Cup Raisins

Customization #3 - Chocolate Cherry Granola

  • 1 Cup Dried Cherries add after baking
  • 1 Cup Mini Chocolate Chips add after baking

Instructions
 

  • Mix all the dry ingredients in a large bowl
  • Mix the wet ingredients in a microwave safe container. Heat in the microwave for 1 minute, stirring every 30 seconds
  • Pour the hot liquid over the dry ingredients and mix well
  • Spread the mixture on a parchment lined baking sheet and bake at 325° for 25-35 minutes stirring every 10 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and add dry fruit if you are going to.

Notes

If you like a clumpier granola add 2 beaten egg whites to the wet ingredients before mixing.  Once the granola is done baking, DON'T STIR it until it's cool.  Once completely cooled, you can add your dried fruit.
