Events

Have you ever been to the Fire & Ice Festival?  There doing something different this year with a ticketed kick off party called Winter’s Coolest Night Out on Thursday, February 17th, but if that’s not your thing, just go to check out the shops and the amazing ice sculptures.  Our favorite time to attend is on Friday night, February 18th, in fact we have a series of photos of Eleanor in the Ice Throne.  We’re looking forward to adding Harris to the chair this year!  One word of caution:  If you aren’t a fan of eating at food trucks, you might want to make reservations for dinner because Fire & Ice does get rather crowded.   Saturday the shops will be open with food trucks galore and the beautiful ice sculptures to enjoy.  Friday, February 18 – Sunday, February 20, 2022.

The other big event that only happens in February in Lancaster is the Bird-in-Hand Chicken Pot Pie Fund Raiser on Saturday, February 26th.  You can get take out starting at 9:30a or sit down and enjoy your meal with the firefighters beginning at 10:30a.  The dinner goes until 6:00p or until they run out.  Just a little word of warning – I wouldn’t wait until 5 to try and get dinner if I were you 😉

Strasburg Mud Sale!  Strasburg calls this their Spring Sale and it actually begins on Friday, February 25th and continues all day Saturday, February 26th.  If you’ve never been to a mud sale, this is a good one to attend.

February in Lancaster sees the theaters opening back up with some old and some new shows.

You might want to enjoy seeing Beehive which runs through February 19th or maybe wait for Singing in the Rain which begins on February 25, 2022!  Don’t forget that we get discounted tickets for shows Sunday through Wednesday, so why not take advantage and extent your get away?

Don’t forget that Magic & Wonder is showing Worlds of Wonder February 11 – 13 and 18 – 20th.
